Haringey coronavirus (COVID-19) updates
Coombes Croft Library reopens on Saturday 31 October, following a refurbishment. The library has new furniture, and range of new books and a great new children’s area. Opening hours will be Monday-Saturday, 10.30am – 2.30pm.
After a £3.5 million renovation effort, Hornsey Library will be reopening to the public on Thursday 5 November. The library has new furniture, improved study space, a bigger colourful children’s library and many new books.
Face coverings are mandatory in all Haringey libraries and COVID security measures are in place. For information on library opening hours and services available during the pandemic, see:
With Tier 2 restrictions in place and ongoing uncertainty created by COVID-19, this half-term will be more challenging for families than usual. We want to reassure you that there is help available locally.
Our Haringey Together pages include a host of support on finances, business, mental health and how to stay positive.
There’s also help on our Connected Communities pages. If you are worried about the impact of coronavirus on your money, accessing essential items or accessing the support you need, please call the team on 020 8489 4431, at 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Haringey Council unequivocally supports Marcus Rashford’s campaign urging the government to feed children over the holidays.
Haringey Giving has also launched its Child Food Poverty Appeal to support low income families within Haringey, as part of their wider Haringey COVID-19 Appeal.
Funds raised will be used specifically to support children and young people who are unable to access free school meals during this half-term and to supplement food provision more sustainably over the coming months for low income families, covering Christmas and Easter holidays too.
