You smashed it!
You smashed it!
We’d like to extend a big 'THANK YOU' to everyone who attended our Super Sunday mass Covid-19 vaccination event, at Tottenham Hotspur stadium last Sunday. Over 4,200 Pfizer jabs were administered on the day, placing Haringey at the top of the capital’s daily jabs league table (external link). The event also had an impact on vaccination rates in neighbouring boroughs of Islington, Hackney, Camden and Barnet. The success of the event was even acknowledged at the Downing Street press conference on Wednesday! Well done to everyone who turned out, got their jab and are #ProudToProtect
Everyone over 18 can now get vaccinated, and with case rates of the COVID-19 Delta variant (first identified in India), rising rapidly across London and nationally, getting vaccinated is the best way to protect yourself, your family and the community from serious illness. With the extension of ‘freedom day’ to the 19 July, the drive is on to get as many people as possible vaccinated before then.
If you missed out on Spurs, don’t worry, there are lots of ways that you can get vaccinated. You can attend the mass vaccination event happening at Emirates Stadium, N5 from Friday 25 (today) until Monday 28 June, from 8am – 8pm. Booking (external link) is advised but you can walk in on the day too.
There are also lots of community vaccination clinics available for you to get vaccinated at a time and a place that suits you. Please see our vaccines webpage for more details.
