Online booking for Covid boosters expands to millions of over-40s

Nine days after the extension of the booster programme was announced to protect against the Omicron variant, over-40s who had their second doses more than three months ago will be able to get their booster dose at walk-in sites across Haringey from today.

Please be aware that demand is high today and if you would prefer to book an appointment, you will be able to do so in the coming days.

The National Booking System is being updated and this may take a day or two, but once updated, it will accept bookings from people who are aged 40+ and had their 2nd dose over 91 days ago and people in that age group who had their 2nd jab over 2 months ago (61 days), can pre-book their booster jab up to a month in advance.

All those eligible to take up their 1st, 2nd or booster vaccines are encouraged to do so by 10 December to ensure they are protected in time for Christmas. The vaccine takes 14 days before it provides maximum protection.
