Leader's support for Stroud Green Primary School with food bank visit & donation
The Leader of Haringey Council, Cllr Peray Ahmet, paid a visit to Stroud Green Primary School on Wednesday (12 October 2022) to see the fantastic work being done there to support Haringey children and families in N4 amid the Cost of Living crisis.
Cllr Ahmet met with the headteacher, Lucy Walker-Collins, and fellow SGPS staff members and parent/governors to hear about the food bank that has been set up to help families who are facing increasingly challenging circumstances with soaring energy bills and food prices.
The Leader dropped off items for their food bank, listened intently to what they had to say and outlined to Stroud Green Primary some other support schemes and streams that are available to them during the meeting.
Cllr Ahmet later tweeted:
Thank you for taking the time to see us and for all the brilliant work you are doing in the school and the wider community. What a brilliant set of teachers, school staff and parents – truly inspiring!
