Leader statement - Elizabeth Place playground
We have listened to the concerns from the community regarding the hoardings that have been put around Elizabeth Place playground.
Cllr Ahmet, Leader of Haringey Council, said:
"The developers never had permission to put these hoardings up and it was never agreed with the council.
"I have asked officers to write to them urgently and it is completely unacceptable for the developer to have boarded up Elizabeth Place playground without our permission.
I am very sorry for the distress this has caused parents and people in the local area. This is an important park for parents and children and I will make sure that it reopens and that the developers pay for the park to be improved."
