Which application form to use
- Householder - For works to a single dwellinghouse including extensions, loft conversions, garages and crossovers
- Full Planning Permission - For all other applications (not householder) including, works to a flat, change of use, flat conversions, new dwellings and demolition in a conservation area
- Listed Building Consent - Works to a Listed Building
- Works to Trees - Works to trees in a conservation area, or works to trees which are subject to a Tree Preservation Order (TPO)
- Lawful Development Certificate Applications - For confirmation that existing or proposed works to a building or site do not require planning permission
- Advertisement Consent - For proposals to display an advertisement or sign
- Prior approval -
- Conversion of office (Use B1(a)) to dwellinghouse(s) (Use C3)
- Conversion of retail (Use A1 or A2) to residential (Use C3) including associated operational development
- Conversion of Use B1 (business), C1 (hotels), C2 (residential institutions), C2A (secure residential institutions) and D2 (assembly and leisure) to a state-funded school or a registered nursery
- Demolition of a building or structure
- Telecommunications development
- Other prior approvals
- Prior Notification -
- For larger house extensions
- Flexible Change of Use (for high street and other business premises) A1 (shop), A2 (Financial and professional services), A3 (Restaurants and cafés) and B1 (Business) to any of A1, A2, A3, A4, (Drinking establishments), A5 (Hot food takeaways), B1, D1 (Non-residential institutions) or D2 (Assembly and leisure)
- Storage or Distribution Buildings (Class B8) and any land within its curtilage to Dwellinghouses (Class C3)
- Outline Permission - For all outline permission applications to establish whether development is acceptable in principle (usually sought for larger schemes)
- Approval of Reserved Matters - For approval of the details of a scheme known as 'reserved matters', for which an outline planning application has been approved
- Removal or a Variation of Condition(s) - for removal or variation of a condition following the grant of planning permission or listed building consent (known as a S73 application)
- Approval of details reserved by condition – for the approval of details where a condition in a planning permission or a listed building consent requires details of a specified aspect of the development
- Non-material Amendment following a Grant of Planning Permission - If you wish to make minor amendments to an approved proposal once it has been granted planning permission. It is best to consult a Planning Officer before submitting this application
- Hazardous Substances Consent - for applications relating to Hazardous Substances

Fees apply to:
- Applications for planning permission
- Applications for approval or reserved matters following the granting of an outline Planning Permission
- Applications for consent to display both illuminated and non-illuminated advertisements
- All Applications for Prior Approval except for larger house extensions
- Applications for removal variation of discharge of conditions and non-material amendments
Fees don't apply to:
- Applications for Listed Building consent, Works to trees in a Conservation Area or subject to Tree Preservation Order
- Applications by registered disabled applicants carrying out works such as extensions, car ports or vehicle crossovers
- Prior Approval applications for larger house extensions
Payments made by cheque, should be made payable to the London Borough of Haringey.
