
One in five adults in Haringey smoke, and smoking remains the main cause of preventable illness and premature death in our borough.
Here in Haringey, our partners at One You Haringey are hosting information stalls in the borough, where smokers can stop by to get help quitting. Drop in for information about quitting smoking.
• Haringey Age Well Festival, Bruce Castle Park Saturday, 20 September, 12-5pm. Drop-in all day for information, and ‘Quitting smoking lived experience’ presentations at 12 and 2.30pm from a health and wellbeing coach.
• Whittington Hospital, ground floor atrium. Monday 29 September and Monday 20 October, 10am-2pm.
• Wood Green Library. Every Monday between 22 September and 27 October, 10.30am-1pm.
• North Middlesex University Hospital. Monday 6 October, 10am-2pm.
• Swap to Stop drop-in clinics. Ground Floor, 48 Station Road, N22 7TY. Thursday 9 October and Thursday 23 October, 10am-1pm.
• Black Communities Health Living Fair. Sunday 19 October, 1-5pm.

There are many free quitting tools out there, including the NHS Quit Smoking app, the Swap to Stop scheme, Facebook support groups, personalised quit plans, information about quitting smoking with a vape and, expert support from local stop smoking services.
