Valeria Raileanu, Performance and Operations Manager at Evolve Apprentices

Without Haringey Council’s transferred Levy funds, we would have been unable to place 4 of our apprentices through apprenticeship training. Having funding to support newly recruited and unqualified apprentices through our shared and flexi-job apprenticeship model is essential for their training and professional development.

Haringey Council have been excellent in supporting us as they have helped us identify large organisations who can share their unused apprenticeship funds with Evolve. The support from both LPC and the council will undoubtedly help Evolve continue delivering construction apprenticeships to help place individuals into sustainable and long-term employment in the future.

Paul Stefan Magyari, apprentice at Plan C

The main thing I like about being an apprentice is the challenge! It’s a tall mountain to climb but every step makes the view more beautiful. Working for Plan C gives me the opportunity to use my imagination in different ways. I would say to someone that is thinking about an apprenticeship to go and do it!

Lee Townsend, Director at Plan C

We’re a small local business - we really wanted to help develop the skills of a local young person with talent and potential who could in turn be a long-term asset for our team. Haringey Council’s support through the Apprenticeship Levy transfer was easy to use and there’s good support. Having an apprentice has enabled us to build the skillset of our team, meaning that we can offer our clients an even better service.

The Apprenticeship Levy gives us the means to invest in our local community, get the very best out of our apprentice and in turn, enhance our business. It’s a great way to build skills within your business and support local talent at the same time - it’s easier than it may seem to set up. Definitely worth looking into.
