About resident parking permits

A resident parking permit lets you park on the roads in the controlled parking zone (CPZ) where you live.

Eligibility 

You must live in a CPZ and be 17 or over.

Where you can park 

Find out which roads you can park on within your CPZ. You can park in: 

  • resident permit holder bay 
  • resident permit holder shared-use bay (resident permit and pay-by-phone) 
  • permit holder bay
  • permit holder shared-use bay (permit holder and pay-by-phone)

The permit isn’t valid in pay-by-phone only bays.

The permit does not provide exemption from Low Traffic Neighbourhood filters.

How to apply for a resident permit

Refunds 

If you no longer need your permit, you can cancel it and may get a refund

Change permit details 

You can change your vehicle details or your address
