With determination, resilience, and the support of their schools and families, young people across the borough are now setting their sights on exciting futures in higher education, apprenticeships, and the world of work.

Cllr Zena Brabazon, Cabinet Member for Children, Schools and Families visited schools and colleges to congratulate pupils and staff on their achievements.

Her first stop was Highgate Wood School in Hornsey, followed by Haringey Sixth Form College in Tottenham.

A-level results have climbed with 32.1% of A-Level students receiving A’s or A*s in London. There has also been a record number of students securing places at their first-choice universities.

Here in Haringey, students truly shone — achieving brilliant results and preparing to embrace exciting new opportunities. One student earned three A’s and will be studying Biomedical Science. Another, with two A’s and a B, is heading into the world of politics. And one standout student received a Distinction in Health and Social Care.

Cllr Brabazon said: "I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to all our students across Haringey. We are incredibly proud of what they’ve achieved — not just in their exam results, but in the resilience, determination, and hard work they’ve shown throughout their time at school.

“Their success is a reflection of their commitment and the unwavering support of our dedicated teachers, school staff, and families. These young people represent the very best of Haringey — they are bright, ambitious, and full of potential.

“As they take the next step in their journey, whether that’s further education, training, or employment, we know they will continue to thrive and make a positive impact. We wish them every success and look forward to seeing all they accomplish in the future."

For students seeking advice or support following their results, local schools and colleges are offering guidance, and additional resources are available through the council’s youth services.

This year’s results reflect the hard work of students and staff alike, and the council extends its congratulations to everyone receiving their grades.

Haringey remains committed to supporting young people to reach their full potential, whatever path they choose.
