Hello everyone, my name is Lucy Edwards, I am the new Specialist Employment Advisor for young people who have learning disabilities and/or autism. I am new to Haringey Council, and I have been in my current role for just over 1 month now.

I have significant experience supporting young adults with learning disabilities and autism into employment and I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of my job.

Prior to joining Haringey Council, I was leading a supported internship programme which supports young adults with learning disabilities gain real work opportunities. I also worked with local employers to break down barriers to employment.

I am working within the Haringey Works team which is a service for Haringey residents to be signposted to suitable jobs with support from employment advisors. This is a fantastic service available for Haringey residents to gain employment support and information about different transition into work programmes such as internships and traineeships.
