World Oral Health Day 2024

World oral health dayWe are celebrating World Oral Health Day in Haringey on 20 March 2024.

The campaign theme for this year is 'Be proud of your mouth. Take care of it and keep smiling'. This year, we want to inspire change by focusing on the importance of oral health at every stage of life, because no matter what age you are, caring for your mouth and looking after your oral health is important.

What is a Brushing 4 Life Pack?

A Brushing 4 Life Pack contains a children's toothbrush, toothpaste and information about caring for children's teeth. 


School visits

As part of the World Oral Health Day celebrations in Haringey, our Oral Health Promotion team are visiting schools to talk about toothbrushing, sugar, dental check-ups and how to look after your teeth.

Take care of your teeth and gums 

Here's how you and your children can have healthy teeth and keep trips to the dentist to a minimum.

  • Brush your teeth twice a day
  • Floss between your teeth
  • Cut down on sugar
  • Brush baby teeth as soon as they come through
  • Get children into a teeth-cleaning routine
  • Have regular dental check-ups

Haringey Oral Health Promotion team

The Haringey Oral Health Promotion team provide a number of initiatives to support the local population to improve their oral health. This includes support for 0-5 year olds, school-aged children, and special needs homes for young adults.
