Construction in Wood Green

We are committed to making sure that construction in and around Wood Green is managed to minimise impact on both the community and the local environment.

A Construction Logistics Plan (CLP)

To do this, we have created a Construction Logistics Plan (CLP) which provides a set of logistics and construction traffic management measures for all current and future construction schemes to follow in order to reduce and manage the impact of construction works on Wood Green residents and businesses.

Construction Logistics Forum

Alongside this, we hold a quarterly Construction Logistics Forum. The Construction Logistics Forum brings together construction contractors and Haringey Council to share updates on schemes’ works plus raise any concerns and issues received by local residents and provide solutions to address these.

The Forum also exchanges all relevant information from individual construction sites, utilities works and other projects in Wood Green (School Streets, DEN and public realm works) to ensure there is a planned and coordinated approach to minimise any disruption locally.

A key requirement of all development schemes underway is to provide news updates on their works and that contractors undertake regular communications and engagement work with residents and communities, including via local resident associations, news bulletins and leaflet drops.
