Haringey is an area brimming with opportunity: from the jobs that will be created as part of the Tottenham Hotspur redevelopment project, to the training and apprenticeships that will be available through the new National College for Digital Skills (Ada College) in Tottenham Hale. We are also part of London, an economically vibrant city that is home to over 5 million jobs.
Knowing about the opportunities that are available and the right pathways to access them can be a complicated process. This means that young people don’t always get the full range of information about the variety of jobs and careers that could be right for them.
Haringey's Career Ambition aims to provide this information in a simple and clear format as an online Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) tool, focused on supporting young people and schools within Haringey.
It offers advice to help young people make decisions at ages 16-19, and offers schools practical, localised resources and further signposting to help them support their students during times of key transition.
It aims to pull together local labour market information, details about local educational providers and the best current practice regarding Careers Education Information, Advice and Guidance. We provide this support so that all institutions can work towards meeting the goals for CEIAG as set out in the London Ambitions document, as well as ensuring that institutions are aware of their statutory responsibilities in this important area.
