Care costs and assessments

Advice on whether you will have to pay towards the cost of your care, how much that may be and other help and benefits you may be able to get.

Assessing your needs

In order to work out what support you need, and how much we can help with the cost, we need to carry out an assessment.

These pages will guide you through the process.

If you are a carer and want to see if you are eligible for help, see our carer's assessment page.

Paying for care

If you live in a residential or nursing home or receive a service in your own home or at a day centre you may have to pay towards the cost.

This section will help give you an idea of how much you may have to pay, and what help is available.

Direct payments

Direct payments give you more choice and control when buying services and equipment to meet the outcomes in your support plan.
