Are you a first time applicant?

You will need to create an online parking account. Follow the steps below.

Do you have valid proof of residency?

What is proof of residency?

If you are registered to vote or pay council tax, we will attempt to validate your residency automatically and you will not need to supply any proof of residency when you apply for, or renew, a virtual Resident Parking Permit.

If you're not registered to vote or pay council tax – or if the automatic validation is not successful – you will need to provide proof of residency and upload a digital copy of one of the following documents as evidence of your address:

  • a signed assured shorthold tenancy or the letter of completion from our solicitor, in which they confirm the property is for your residency only
  • a letter from HM Revenue or the Department of Work and Pensions, signed and recently dated
  • a signed housing association or council tenancy agreement
  • a driving licence photo identity card showing current address with the relevant controlled parking zone (CPZ)

Sorry without proof of residency you can't apply for a resident parking permit as you do not meet the eligibility criteria.

Do you have a valid vehicle registration document registered to your Haringey home address (log book or V5C), or another accepted proof?

What other types of vehicle proof are accepted?

  • If you've recently purchased a vehicle and don't have your V5C you will need to send us a bill of sale on headed company paper. Please also send the new keeper's slip V5C/2, or the Confirmation of Registration Details, as well as the bill of sale on headed paper.
  • If you've hired a vehicle, we will need to see an official hire or lease agreement showing that the vehicle is kept at an address within the CPZ.
  • If your new vehicle is a company car, we will need a letter on company headed paper stating that you are the sole user and that the vehicle is kept at an address in the CPZ. We will also need to see a copy of the hire agreement and vehicle log book (V5C) to confirm the vehicle's emissions.

Please note that you can upload digital copies of any required documents when completing your permit application, so have these ready before you start.
