Resident carer's permit
A resident carer's permit is for people in Haringey who care for residents in their own home.
Residents who live in a controlled parking zone (CPZ) can apply for a resident carer’s permit if their medical practitioner, nurse or social worker has completed and signed a declaration of care (PDF, 158KB). Nannies and care providers for young children are also eligible.
The application must be made by the resident on behalf of their carer. The vehicle should be registered to the carer.
- we don’t issue carer’s permits to commercial care enterprises
- we don’t issue more than one permit for a carer
More information on the virtual permit system can be found in our booklet Your new Parking Permit: a guide to your new Virtual Parking Permit (PDF, 209KB)
For residents who aren’t able to apply online, please contact Customer Services on 020 8489 1000 to find out about Haringey’s assisted digital service and other application options, including any reasonable adjustments the council may need to make for you.
The resident carer’s permit is valid for resident or resident shared use bays in the specified CPZ. The permit isn’t valid for pay by phone-only bays.
