Discover independent living resources and tools at this year’s Age Well Festival next month

Haringey residents are being encouraged to attend the Age Well Festival next month as it will help them live with greater independence well into later life.

Now in its second year, the Festival will take place at Bruce Castle Park on Saturday 20 September (12noon-5pm).

It aims to support people in our borough to age well by connecting them with local community groups and organisations, as well as provide valuable insights, knowledge and ‘takeaways’ to promote positive wellbeing.

The festival also celebrates Haringey’s older residents and the significant contributions they have made – and continue to make – to our borough.

It represents a fantastic opportunity for residents of all ages, backgrounds and beliefs to come together and celebrate.

This event is completely FREE and everyone is welcome to attend, with no need to book in advance.

Much like in 2024, there will be another Purple Parade, where attendees are encouraged to wear purple and march with us through the park to defy age-related stereotypes.

The festival will also be split into six distinct and separate zones:

  • Connect Well
  • Creative Zone
  • Eating Well
  • Physical Activity
  • Wellness Dome

There will be something for everyone to get involved in and enjoy including free creative and physical activities, health and wellbeing sessions, literature and storytelling and live music and performative dances and much more besides!
