Exploring Haringey

Alexandra Palace

Haringey has a wealth of interesting places to visit. Local landmarks include Alexandra Palace - the birthplace of television, with its surrounding unspoilt parkland for long walks and activities - and historic Bruce Castle Museum - a Grade I listed 16th Century manor house in 20 acres of parkland.

If you are interested in taking time out after a busy day, Haringey offers plenty in the way of entertainment through its pubs, clubs, cinemas, theatres and galleries.

Haringey is also a shopper's delight, with Shopping City in Wood Green and the boutiques, art and book shops in Crouch End and Muswell Hill offering a tempting selection of treats.

If greenery is more your style you can visit one of our Green Flag Award-winning parks, Tottenham Marshes is also worth a visit. It's located in Lee Valley Regional Park (external link), one of London's biggest open space, stretching 26 miles along the leafy banks of the River Lee and offering heritage sites, country parks, farms and more.

Check our What's On calendar to find out what's going on in venues around the borough, including shows, talks, exhibitions, family events and much more.
