Missed Bin Collections
Sometimes rubbish and recycling collections are missed. We do our best to keep this to an absolute minimum, but if your bin has not been collected we apologise.
Report a missed bin collection
Before reporting a missed bin collection please:
- Check which day your bins are collected (external link)
- Check your bin for a contamination tag
To report a missed collection please contact the Veolia Haringey Contact Centre:
- Tel: 020 8885 7700
- Email: enquiries.haringey@veolia.com
What happens next
If you report a missed collection on the collection day itself, your request will not be logged until the following day when Veolia’s system is updated. It will be emptied on the next working day.
Also if more than four working days have passed since your bin collection day, your bin will only be emptied on the next scheduled collection day.
Common causes of missed collections
See our How to put your bins out page for information on where to place to your bins or sacks, and how to present them.
Avoid contaminating your bin
If your recycling bin has been missed please check for a 'Contamination Tag' before reporting the missed collection.
If your recycling bin has been tagged as contaminated it will not be collected. For more information visit our Contamination of recycling page.
