Get rid of garden waste for free

Part of: Garden waste

You can take your garden waste to the Haringey reuse and recycling centre for free. Or try home composting.

Making compost is cheap and easy and gives you free garden fertiliser.

  1. Buy a low-cost compost bin. For more information visit the Get Composting website.
  2. Add fruit and veg kitchen scraps and garden trimmings in layers.
  3. When the compost forms a dark brown layer at the bottom, it's ready to use.
