Support for people who sleep rough
There are a wide range of factors that can lead to someone sleeping rough, and we are working with a range of partners to ensure people affected by rough sleeping are provided with appropriate support and housing.
If you know of someone sleeping rough anywhere in Finsbury Park or the surrounding area, please contact Streetlink, who will work with the relevant local authority to make sure that the person receives support. Find out more about how to access support if you are sleeping rough in Haringey.
In Islington, there are regular support drop-in sessions at St Stephen’s Church and Union Chapel.
Streets Kitchen also runs an outreach service from its base on Seven Sisters Road.
Support for people who use drugs
Engaging with local drug-users through peer-led outreach, BUBIC is Haringey’s peer-led substance misuse service. Made up of people whose lives have been affected by drug misuse, BUBIC travel to drug-use hotspots across Haringey for twice-monthly night outreach sessions.
They focus on engaging with those who are using illegal drugs and are not accessing free local treatments, as well as offering substance misuse advice and information to all residents.
BUBIC has a 24-hour helpline to support those who are suffering and need support emotionally to refrain from using substances.

Streets Fest
Streets Fest is a one-stop-shop festival for people who are experiencing homelessness or are vulnerably housed in Haringey and Islington, which is held annually in Finsbury Park.
Working in partnership with Streets Kitchen, Haringey and Islington Council, the annual event provides people an opportunity to access a wide range of different support services in the same place, on the same day, in a festival-themed setting. Services include drug and alcohol advice, housing advice, education, training and employment support, women’s specific services, as well as service user groups and a wide range of other agencies. Music and food are also available for those who attend to provide a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

Museum of Homelessness
The Museum of Homelessness (MoH) has announced plans to open a new museum at Manor House Lodge that will host creative programmes and community services focused on homelessness and housing.
The museum will be created by MoH's award-winning team in partnership with local residents and community groups. A 10-year community lease from key partner Haringey Council will enable significant investment in the site.
As well as being a world-class creative hub, MoH will provide 250 support sessions per year (5 per week) from Manor House Lodge – designed in partnership with those in need. This is likely to include regular surgeries focused on housing and legal rights, as well as the provision of essentials at a time when the cost-of-living crisis is biting.
