COVID-19 (coronavirus) update - Haringey Substance Misuse Services

Services are committed to continuing to provide high level support during this challenging period. See below for details of the services available to young people and adults, including whole family support. All services will continue to take self referrals and referrals from professionals, families, friends and carers.

Insight Platform - Young People’s Substance Misuse Service

Opening times: we support people up to the age of 21. We provide prevention work, brief/early interventions and structured interventions for young people to learn, manage, reduce and abstain from substance use.

We are still offering services and taking referrals to offer support to our young people and residents on:

  • Mondays and Wednesdays, 9.30am-5pm
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9.30am-6pm
  • Fridays, 9.30am-3.30pm

What’s on offer: most of our interventions will take place over the phone including assessments and 1:1 support.


Insightful Families - support for children and families with parental alcohol misuse

Opening times: We are still offering services over the phone including assessments, 1:1 and group support

  • Mondays and Wednesdays 9.30am-5pm
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9.30am-6pm
  • Fridays, 9.30am-3.30pm

We offer support to:

  • Parents who use alcohol
  • Family, friends and carers affected by someone else’s alcohol use
  • Children and young people affected by parental alcohol use

In some circumstances we will provide face-to-face interventions at 40 Bromley Road, Tottenham N17 0AW (by invitation only). All face-to-face sessions will adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Please do not come in if you have any of the following symptoms: a cough, temperature or shortness of breath. If you have these symptoms then please return home and call 111.


HAGA - Adult Alcohol Service

Opening times: we are still offering services over the phone including assessments, 1:1 support and groups to offer support to our Service Users and residents.

  • Monday to Friday, 9.30am-4.30pm

Drop-in to 590 Seven Sisters Road, Tottenham N15 6HR if you cannot call and it is absolutely necessary. All face-to-face contact will adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Please do not come in if you have any of the following symptoms: a cough, temperature or shortness of breath. If you have these symptoms then please return home and call 111.

Drink Coach (external link) is an online tool which can help you to cut down your alcohol use, by offering self screening, tips and strategies for you to employ to reach your goal. There are also skype based drink coach sessions offering further support.


Haringey Recovery Service (HRS)

Opening times: we are still offering services over the phone including assessments, 1:1 support and groups to offer support to our Service Users and residents.

  • Monday to Friday, 9.30am-4.30pm

The Grove - Adult Drug Service

Opening times: we are still offering services over the phone including assessments, 1:1 support and groups to offer support to our Service Users and residents.
