A key part of preventing future outbreaks of COVID-19 is to ensure high levels of vaccination uptake in our communities.
The NHS, the council and Voluntary and Community Sector partners are working together to increase uptake and achieve an equal level of COVID-19 vaccination in all areas of Haringey.
We are working together to reduce inequalities in uptake of the vaccine, focusing on groups who are showing lower take-up. This has been linked to areas of higher deprivation and people from some ethnic minority or language groups.
The success of the vaccination programme – in coverage and equity – will help to reduce the number and impact of further outbreaks in our local communities.
