Shout provides free, confidential support 24/7 via text.

Shout is the UK's first free 24/7 texting service for anyone in crisis anytime, anywhere. It is available in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

Text SHOUT to 85258 in the UK to text with a trained Crisis Volunteer.

Haringey School Nursing Service (NHS)

The Haringey School Nursing Service is an NHS-run service of Registered School Nurses, Registered Community Nurses and School Nurse Assistants.

Prescription Prepayment Certificate (NHS)

Save money on NHS prescriptions by prepaying for them. You can pay a set price for prescriptions for 3 or 12 months, no matter how many you need.

Scope is a charity in England and Wales dedicated to disability equality. They offer practical information, emotional support, family and employment services, and a wide range of advice and support, including information on benefits, legal matters, and disability equipment.

Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Information, Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS)

The Haringey Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Information, Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS) is provided by Markfield. SENDIASS is a free, impartial and confidential service for Haringey residents.

They offer the following to parents, carers, and children and young people who have (or may have) SEND:

Short breaks

Short breaks, also known as respite, provide opportunities for children and young people with special needs to spend time away from their primary carers. These breaks can occur during the day, evening, overnight, weekends, or school holidays and can take place in various settings such as the child's home, an approved carer's home, a residential setting, or a community location.

Types of short breaks:

Short breaks grant (previously personal budgets)

Personal budgets for children and young people with special needs and/or disabilities and their families will now be known as the Short Breaks Grant.

A new policy statement and self-assessment form are being finalised and launched in early 2025.
