Syndromes Without a Name (SWAN) UK Charity

SWAN UK is the UK's only dedicated support network for families affected by undiagnosed genetic conditions, often called syndromes without a name (SWAN).

Their mission is to ensure every family receives the support they need, regardless of diagnosis status. Their efforts include:

Haringey Sensory Support Team – Vision

The Vision Support Team consists of specialist advisory teachers (QTVIs), a specialist support worker, and a Habilitation Specialist (mobility and independent living skills) who offer a range of support for children and young people with a diagnosis of vision impairment.

They work in all Haringey mainstream educational settings and become involved with families and children from their diagnosis, often as young babies.

Their work includes supporting and advising teaching staff, families, and carers throughout a child’s educational journey.
