British Deaf Association

The British Deaf Association (BDA) is the UK’s national Deaf-led membership organisation representing Deaf people who use British Sign Language (BSL) in the UK and Irish Sign Language (ISL) in Northern Ireland.

They exist to ensure a world in which the language, culture, community, diversity and heritage of Deaf people in the UK is respected and fully protected.

Empowering Deaf Society (EDS) Charity

Empowering Deaf Society (EDS) is a Deaf-led charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for deaf people by ensuring that all Deaf people have equal access and equality of opportunity without discrimination.

They deliver services aimed at providing support through information and advice, signposting, workshops and events, and signature-accredited BSL Courses across Greater London.

Haringey Sensory Support Team - Hearing

The Haringey Sensory Support Team—Hearing is a team of Qualified Teachers of the Deaf and a Communication Specialist (British Sign Language) working across the boroughs of Haringey and Enfield. They support children with identified deafness, both in the home and in all educational settings (except schools for the Deaf or resourced bases for the Deaf).

They aim to improve the educational and life outcomes for deaf babies, children, and young people. Their work includes supporting and advising families and carers throughout their child’s educational journey. 

HENRY Charity

HENRY provides a wide range of support for families from pregnancy to age 12, including workshops, programs, resources, and online help. Their support is based on the HENRY approach to behaviour change. It helps parents gain the confidence, knowledge, and skills needed to create a healthier, happier lifestyle for the whole family and give children a great start in life.

Good Thinking is an online service that supports Londoners to look after their mental health and wellbeing to tackle anxiety, stress, low mood, sleep problems and other concerns.

National Autistic Society

The UK's leading charity for autistic people and their families provides support, guidance, advice, and more.

Their advice and guidance section has a wide range of information about autism, including diagnosis, behaviour, communication, loneliness, sensory differences, mental health, benefits and money, education, and more.

National Childbirth Trust (NCT) Charity

The National Childbirth Trust (NCT) is a charity that supports parents across the UK and the Channel Islands on their journey through pregnancy, birth, infant feeding, and early parenthood.

They provide information for parents, courses and workshops, local activities, meet-ups and more.

Parent Infant Psychology Service (NHS)

Parent Infant Psychology Service (PIPS) is an NHS-run service for families in Haringey with infants up to two years old. The team of clinical psychologists and a parent-infant psychotherapist helps parents, carers, or guardians of infants under two years old and those expecting a baby.
