Finsbury Park and Stroud Green Neighbourhood Forum and Area

In September 2018, Haringey, Islington and Hackney Councils designated the Finsbury Park and Stroud Green Neighbourhood Area and Finsbury Park and Stroud Green Neighbourhood Forum. The Forum can now produce a ‘neighbourhood plan’ for their area - this is a statutory planning document that contains planning policies for the development and use of land in the neighbourhood, and can be used in making decisions on planning applications in the area.

Please visit the Finsbury Park and Stroud Green Neighbourhood Forum website (external link) for further details of the Forum's work and for details of how to get involved. All three councils will be working with the Forum once they start working on a Plan.

The council consulted residents, those who work or carry on business in the area and other interested stakeholders from 14 May to 25 June 2018 (a period of six weeks) before determining to designate the Forum. The Neighbourhood Area and Forum applications, and supporting documents, can be viewed below.

As a result of the consultation and the councils' scrutiny of the application, Haringey Council determined to remove Finsbury Park (the full extent of Finsbury Park open space) from the Forum's designated area.
