Quality Review Panel

To assist in delivering high quality development the council has established a Quality Review Panel (QRP) which brings together a team of independent professionals from a range of backgrounds to scrutinise all major development proposals. The QRP advises applicants, council officers and the Planning Committee on their consideration of how well a development scheme is meeting the principles of the Haringey Development Charter (see Policy DM1 in Haringey's Development Management DPD). More information can be found in the QRP Terms of Reference document, updated in 2020 (from the original produced in 2017).

Reports from the Quality Review Panel relating to specific planning applications will be published alongside other documents related to that application, on our Planning Applications page. QRP reports will also be included in planning committee reports.

From January 2019, the QRP produces an annual report covering the previous year:

The 2020 annual report was expected to be published in April 2020, but was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, although it is now available (above).  The next annual report is expected to be published in early 2023.
