Existing School Streets

This page provides details about all existing School Streets that are operating in Haringey. You can find details of when they were introduced and whether they have been made under permanent or experimental Traffic Management Orders.


Permanent School Streets

Launched 2019

Launched 2020/21

The following School Streets were approved in October 2020 and February 2021 and launched on an experimental basis in November 2020 (Chestnuts Primary) and April 2021. The experiments were reviewed in March 2022 and made permanent in May 2022.

Experimental School Streets

The following School Streets are operating under Experimental Traffic Orders. These School Streets have been launched on a trial basis for a maximum period of 18 months.

During the first 6-12 months we collect data and seek feedback on their operation before completing a review and taking a decision whether to make them permanent.

During the statutory consultation period of the experimental traffic order, any person may make an objection, in writing, to the traffic order.

Harris Academy Coleraine Park (SS07)

This School Street was approved in February 2021 and launched in April 2021. An interim review (September 2021) was carried out and the School Street was extended to Wycombe Road in December 2021.

Launched September 2021

The following School Streets were approved in July 2021 and launched in September 2021.

Launched March 2022 as part of three Low Traffic Neighbourhoods

The following School Streets were approved in December 2021 and launched in March 2022 as part of the decision to implement three trial Low Traffic Neighbourhoods (LTNs) in Bounds Green, St. Ann’s and Bruce Grove West Green. Harris Academy Tottenham (SS08)

This School Street was approved in February 2022 and launched in March 2022
