Active Travel Projects

Smarter Travel has been welcoming funding applications for active travel projects - such as a walking club, a bike loan scheme or bike maintenance programme - that encourage residents to walk or cycle rather than drive.

Organisations were able to apply to the council for up to £4,000 of funding from Haringey/TfL to get their project started, but all applications closed on 18 January 2019.

Applications had to show that the project was promoting both walking and cycling as well as demonstrate that the scheme would lead to an increase in these activities.

Active Travel Community Projects Funding 2019

We awarded organisations funding for projects which supported the community to walk, cycle or use public transport rather than driving their car.

The table below offers a snapshot of what happened last year, some projects are continuing.
