For Phase 2 of the programme (for the financial year 2019/2020), we were investigating 30 locations/streets for the possible introduction of EV charging points - these were finalised in February. The installation works for these were due to start at the end of March 2020, but these were put on hold due to the COVID-19 restrictions. For this phase, the plan was to install 25 lamp column charging points and 12 on-street standard EV charging points at various locations in the borough.
We have completed the installation of the 12 on-street standard charging points and these are now in operation as of 26 July 2020. These charge points are managed by BP Chargemaster and are part of the Polar network. Please visit the Polar website (external link) for further information on how to use these EV points.
The installation works for the 25 lamp column charging points have now commenced and we expect for these to be completed by the end of next month. We will update this page with further information when these EV points come into operation.
