Electric Vehicle Charging Points

As part of the council’s action plan to promote and encourage the uptake of Electric Vehicles, we are considering all options available to increase the number of Electric Vehicles charging points/bays in the borough. These includes:
- on-street standard charging points
- lamp column charging points, and
- rapid charging points
EV charging points and networks
At present there are 59 publicly accessible Electric Vehicle charging points in the borough, operated by Source London and Polar networks.
Source London network
The are 37 7kw and one 22kw standard EV charging points at 14 locations in the borough which are operated by Source London. Please visit the Source London website (external link) for further information how to use this EV points.
Polar network
There are 12 Standard EV charging points at five locations and five rapid charging points in the borough. One of the rapid charging point is for taxis only. These points are managed by BP Chargemaster and are part of the Polar network. Please visit the Polar website (external link) for further information on how to use this EV points.

Request an EV charging point
If you would like to request an on-street charging point or suggest a location to be considered for installation of a charging point, please fill in our dedicated e-form:
Please note the council does not instal charging bays/points for individual use or for individual requests. However, if there are several requests from a particular area, we may consider introducing charging point/s which serve a number of users. The council will instal charging points based on proven demand in an area and available funding/resources.
