  • improve road safety 
  • regulate traffic flows 

New traffic lights may be installed to: 

  • reduce traffic hazards 
  • manage traffic flow from: 
    • new developments 
    • schools 
    • leisure centres 

Management of traffic lights 

All traffic lights in Haringey are managed by Transport for London (TfL), except for temporary roadwork lights. 

TfL is responsible for traffic light: 

  • placement  
  • maintenance
