A permission to park permit allows parking on a given street within a controlled parking zone (CPZ), for one day or a number of days. Anyone can buy one, whether you live in or outside Haringey. The permit is ideal for landlords, and for tradespeople working in the borough. It has replaced the Traders permit.
The permit is only valid for one specific street and one vehicle for a given time. If you have more than one vehicle or are working at different locations, you must purchase a permit for each vehicle and each location.
Permission to park permits aren't available for use on event days.
The permission to park permit is valid for resident or resident shared-use bays in the street you specify. The permit isn’t valid for pay by phone-only bays.
You should confirm there are resident or shared-use bays on the street you wish to park before you buy a permit.

You will be issued with a virtual permit, linked to the vehicle registration number of your vehicle. You won’t have to print a permit at home or wait for us to send it to you.
You won’t be required to provide any proofs for the permit or display it in your vehicle. Our civil enforcement officers (CEOs) can check that your vehicle has a valid permit by looking up its registration number.
- you can’t use permission to park permits on event days
- permission to park permits are non-refundable and can’t be amended once purchased
