Permission to park: weddings and funerals
The council offers a free permission to park permit for those attending weddings or funerals in the borough. The permit will allow parking in streets close to the venue, for a small number of vehicles.
The council will try to grant permission to park where appropriate evidence has been provided. Applications should be made as far in advance of the event as possible.
You may park in resident or shared use bays on the streets associated with the permit.
Applying for a permit is simple – click the button below to create your account and apply for your permit. Your permit will be a virtual permit, so you won’t have to print a permit at home or wait for us to send it to you.
You'll be asked to specify the street on which you would like to park. The street specified should be where the venue is located, or one near to the venue. On approving the application, you may be granted your preferred street, or alternate adjacent streets, depending on parking availability.
If you're applying for your guests, you'll also be asked to specify the vehicle registration numbers of the cars used by those attending the event.
To support your application, you will need to upload evidence of the event taking place – including the date and venue details.
