The doctor's permit allows GPs, or those authorised by the GP or NHS practice, to park in the doctor parking bays designated to the practice.
You can apply for a doctor's permit if:
- you are a doctor or health professional and can demonstrate that you require your vehicle nearby to carry out duties within the community. This doesn’t include the need to commute to and from your place of work.
- a separate application has been made by the practice to the parking schemes team to have designated doctor bays implemented prior to the permit application being made.
The doctor's permit entitles you to park within the bay numbered and allocated to your surgery.
