Borough wide and utility permits
A borough wide business permit allows people who operate a business or carry out work within Haringey to park in a residential or shared use parking bay throughout the borough.
Utility companies who carry out work throughout the borough must apply for a utility permit; they can't apply for a business permit.
To be eligible for a borough wide or utility permit you must show us that parking your vehicle throughout the borough is essential to the successful operation of your business. At least one of the following must apply for your business:
- people working for it are involved in building maintenance, whether or not it applies to private or public sector housing or buildings
- the business is involved in the delivery of essential services to residents, and that people working for it are required as part of their job to carry heavy (or hazardous) equipment or materials
Borough wide and utility permits allow parking only in a residential parking bay or in a shared use bay within a controlled parking zone (CPZ) in the London Borough of Haringey.
Holders of borough wide and utility permits aren’t allowed to park in pay by phone-only bays. Permit holders should check signs on adjacent bays at all times to ensure they’re parked in the correct type of bay.
