Current Parking Consultations

Parking and moving traffic violations – your feedback is important

Please tell us if you are: either having problems with obstructive or illegal parking and/or having problems with vehicles that ignore traffic signage (e.g. no entry signs, driving in bus lanes) in your local area. This will help us target additional enforcement in those areas that need it most. Ignoring directional traffic signage (known as moving traffic contraventions) can only be enforced by CCTV camera, so your feedback will help us to develop a programme of future camera installation based on residents’ priorities.

If you've experienced issues, please help us by completing the form. You can access this by clicking on the button below.

Parking Enforcement Consultation - please give us your feedback

Our parking enforcement patrols normally end at 10pm daily. However, there is concern about illegal, obstructive and dangerous parking outside these hours - including parking on double yellow lines, on pavements, and in disabled parking bays.

We have been running a pilot extension of operation from 10pm to 1am over the weekend in the Wood Green and Tottenham areas. We now want to extend this service across the borough and would like your help in understanding the scale of the problem in all areas to help us design our enforcement plan.

This will help us:

  • fully understand the scale of the problem
  • ensure that we are targeting our resources in the areas most in need of this service

Survey of parking needs of residents being cared for in their homes

The council recognises that personal care arrangements offered to residents in their own homes have changed. We know that it can range from family members to professional care arrangements, involving several carers attending to an individual where car use is essential.

Our current parking arrangements for carers are specific to an individual as opposed to multiple providers. We therefore want to work with residents receiving care at home to co-design a parking offer that is conducive to their complex needs.

This consultation closed on Thursday 30 June 2022 - thank you to everyone who took part.

The results and next steps can be found in the cabinet review of the resident carers permit (PDF, 500KB).

Wood Green Inner and Outer review update

In July/August 2021 we consulted with residents in the Wood Green Inner and Outer CPZ area on whether they wanted the CPZs split into 5 smaller areas. This would reduce inter-zone commuting, congestion, parking pressures and encourage more walking, cycling and use of public transport which would help to reduce transport related emissions.

We received 1039 responses from 20,792 properties consulted.  The majority of those who responded told us that they did not want Wood Green CPZ split into 5 smaller areas.  We have listened to these views and no changes will be made to Wood Green CPZ at this time.

To view the full analysis and cabinet report view item 14 of the Agenda for Cabinet on Tuesday 8 March 2022, 6.30 pm Haringey Council.

We recently consulted residents in Muswell Hill South area on whether they wanted parking controls introduced for their roads. The response rate has been great, we received 895 views from the 3485 properties consulted. We still need to consider the feedback in detail, but wanted to share this:

  • Nearly all the roads consulted have told us they don’t want parking controls.
