Bank Holiday parking

What is Bank Holiday Enforcement?

On bank holidays and public holidays, free parking is available in all on-street Pay by Phone (formerly Pay and Display) parking bays and in all council car parks that are open.

Vehicles parked within a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) are not required to display a valid resident permit or visitor permit when parking in resident or shared used use bays in Haringey on these days.

There are some exceptions to this rule and the following restrictions remain enforceable:

  • Double yellow line restrictions and those with 24 hour loading restrictions
  • Event day restrictions
  • Footway parking
  • Disabled bays
  • Bus stops
  • Taxi ranks/bays
  • Zig-zags (ie pedestrian crossings)
