Update on enhanced coronavirus testing in N17 (Tottenham Hale)

Publication date:
February 15, 2021

We would like to inform residents that door-to-door enhanced coronavirus testing in parts of the N17 (Tottenham Hale) area of Haringey will be ending this Tuesday 16 February – the team will be carrying out final collections of tests today and tomorrow morning.

We would like to thank all those who took part in our efforts to track the South African variant and this difficult time. Your support has been invaluable will enable us to have a clearer picture on the support our community needs.

All positive Covid-19 tests from our targeted testing will be sent for further study to find out more about the variant and we will be publishing the results of the enhanced testing when we are given the information from Public Health England – which we expect in the next few weeks.

If you:

  • Didn’t get a test. Please don’t worry, The aim of the enhanced testing area was to deliver tests to all residential properties within the footprint area to see how far – if at all – the South African variant has spread. All the tests have now been delivered you can still take a rapid test at one of our sites.
  • Missed our visit but want to be tested, you can go to the mobile testing unit without an appointment before Tuesday 15 February at one of the following locations: Back of Harris Academy, Park View Road, N17 9BL  or Stoneleigh Rd, Car Park, Tottenham, London N17 9BQ. Open 7 days a week from 8am - 3pm
  • Were not at home when we visited to collect your test, you can also take your completed kit to the Tottenham Community Sports Centre, 701-703 High Road, Tottenham, N17 8AD - Mon 8am-4pm, Tues 8am - 8pm.
  • Or Living Under One Sun Community Café and Hub, Bowling Green and Pavilion, Down Lane Park, Park View Rd, N17 9EX - until Tues from 10am - 5pm.

If you have any further queries or require support with food or essential items, please call Connected Communities on 0208 489 4431. Please continue to follow the national lockdown guidance and stay safe.
