Update on COVID-19 PCR testing in Haringey
Haringey currently has three PCR testing sites for people with COVID-19 symptoms, which are run by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), but two of them will be closing.
The site at Alexandra Palace Paddocks will close on Monday 13 September as the licence at this site expires and the DHSC are keen to decommission some PCR testing sites.
The site at the Irish Centre is also due to close at the end of September.
In the meantime, the PCR test site at Stamford Hill Primary will continue to operate, and residents are able to use other local testing sites in neighbouring boroughs.
Home test kits are also available for people who are unable to access these sites.
We are also working with the DHSC to explore other locations in the borough where an additional PCR test site could be added, to provide additional testing capacity as we head into the Autumn.
We will keep residents updated on plans as these develop.
All information on testing provision is kept up to date on our website here: www.haringey.gov.uk/covid-testing
