Joint council and police operation sees anti-social behaviour tackled in Wood Green
An operation between Haringey Council and the Metropolitan Police saw ten vehicles issued with parking fines, 25 motorcyclists stopped for riding on footways and a business given a fixed penalty notice for fly-tipping in Wood Green.
The two-days of enforcement - between Monday 1 and Tuesday 2 March - also saw six fly-tips investigated, five businesses advised on Covid-19 and environmental waste issues, eight items of graffiti and fly-posting reported for removal and 20 vehicles moved on.
Council workers and police concentrated on the Wood Green High Road area during the two days as part of Operation Heat, a six-week operation focussed on the Noel Park ward.
The operation involved police in Haringey as well as the council’s parking services and enforcement team.
