COVID-19 vaccinations being rolled out to 60 years and overs.
From today (Monday 1 March 2021), people aged 60 years and over, will begin receiving invitations for COVID-19 vaccinations. People in this group do not need to wait for a letter from the NHS and can book their vaccination appointment online at www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination (external link) or by calling 119 for free.
More than 16.5 million people across England have already received their first jab, and by the end of this week, everyone in the top seven priority groups would have been offered the vaccine.
The NHS is continuing to follow the official advice from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) and is vaccinating those most at risk first, and those who work closest with them.
