Excitement is building ahead of Tottenham's first Winter Festival.

The finishing touches are being put to a packed programme of music, markets and performance from 29 November to 2 December.

The highlight of the weekend will be the Tottenham Christmas Lights Switch On at 6pm on Saturday 1 December.

Cllr Alan Strickland, Haringey Council’s Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Social Inclusion, said:

“Tottenham is going to be overflowing with talent and fun for the Winter Festival and I hope that hundreds of residents will come along to enjoy the events and kick-off the countdown to Christmas.

“Bringing activities to Tottenham Green was one of the council’s 12 in 2012 pledges for Tottenham and I’m really looking forward to rounding off a great year of progress with the Tottenham Winter Festival.”
