Local residents enjoy musical feast at Finsbury Fest

Families and residents from Haringey, Hackney and Islington enjoyed an evening of free musical entertainment in Finsbury Park on Tuesday evening (8 July 2025).

Sandwiched between the two Major Events weekends (4-6 July 11-13 July) this month and sponsored by event organisers Festival Republic, Finsbury Fest saw another great line-up of local bands and solo artists perform on an enthralling and exhilarating night of live music.

It was a fantastic evening for all the family, with a diverse and eclectic mix of acts who were all representative of the N4 area along with some good, fun ‘sing-along’ performers too for good measure.

A metal band with a female lead singer – Gehenna – performed at Finsbury Fest as the result of a collaborative link-up between Haringey Council and The Record Shop in Wood Green.

Talented youngsters currently being mentored by Scorcher – who won the Best Grime Act at this year’s MOBO Awards – also took centre stage courtesy of an independent Grime label, while Tottenham DJ Academy provided a bespoke showcase of their DJs, drummers and singers as well.

Other acts to perform at Finsbury Fest 2025 included:

  • Delusions of Youth
  • Jiminy Rockit Band
  • Katy Carr
  • London Metropolitan Brass Band
  • Oh Rosa

There’s still more free, festival-themed fun tonight (Wednesday 9 July 2025, 6pm-8:45pm), with the Schools’ Summer Festival providing a platform for highly talented, young musicians from schools across the three boroughs of Haringey, Hackney and Islington.
