Across 10 sessions, young people developed hospitality skills, confidence, and career opportunities through the art of making, cooking, and serving pizzas.
Throughout the course, participants gained essential skills in health and safety, food preparation, communication, and customer service. The programme concluded with a special celebration event, where participants showcased their newfound skills to parents, carers, staff and partners within the youth justice system, and even local restaurants.
The initiative is funded by Haringey Youth Justice Service and is delivered in partnership with the Dusty Knuckle Bakery. The Youth Justice Service was rated as ‘Good’ with outstanding features by His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Probation (HMIP) in March this year.
The inspection praised the service’s openness, creativity, and innovative activities - including The Dusty Knuckle programme.
