Haringey coronavirus (COVID-19) updates
Did you know that it’s not just permanent staff members that companies can claim for as part of the Coronavirus Job Retention (furlough) Scheme?
The emergency measure brought in to help firms hold on to employees through lockdown has now been extended until the end of October.
Among those that firms can apply for as well as permanent workers are agency staff, contractors, and directors.
But there are many others, as long as they’re paid via PAYE. For a full breakdown of which individuals that companies can claim grants for check out the link here (external link).
If your restaurant, cafe, pub or bar is taking part in the Eat Out To Help Out scheme, or you simply want to learn more, you can find all the information you need in this handy guide (external link).
It covers everything from who can take part, when you can claim, what you will need and how to make a claim to HMRC.
You can also get help on how to make a claim with this HMRC YouTube video (external link).
The scheme, which runs on Mondays to Wednesdays until August 31, offers customers up to 50% off the cost of a meal (except for alcoholic drinks) – up to a maximum of £10 per head.
Participating places can get the money back from the Government.
Diners can find venues taking part in the scheme from here (external link).
We’re pleased to announce that gym and group exercises are now back at Tottenham Green Pools & Fitness.
The teaching pool will reopen on Wednesday 19 August.
The gym, lido and group exercises are all now available at Park Road. The indoor pools, sauna, soft play, café and changing rooms remain closed. We will provide a further update as soon as we can.
Both leisure centres are subject to the following social distancing and safety measures to reduce risk to users:
- One way systems through the buildings
- Spacing of gym equipment
- Well-spaced stations for group exercise
- Sanitiser stations
