Haringey coronavirus (COVID-19) updates
Public Health England have updated their guidance for people who have been notified by NHS Test and Trace that they are a contact of a person they do not live with who has tested positive for COVID-19.
A contact is a person who has been close to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 any time from two days before the person was symptomatic up to 10 days from onset of symptoms (this is when they are infectious to others).
If you are a contact, the NHS Test and Trace service will notify you by text message, email or phone. Read the guidance.
For information on getting tested in Haringey, visit our COVID-19 testing in Haringey page.
We know how much you value local library services and we’ve been working hard to ensure our libraries are safe for you to use again. We’re pleased to announce that Marcus Garvey Library will be reopening its doors to the public on Monday 17 August.
Unlike our other libraries, there will be no phased reintroduction of services, so all services will be available from Monday, including limited computer use, ‘grab and go’ and Ready Reads.
The library’s opening hours will be 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. There will be a one-way system in place, separate queues for the library and the customer services desk and all library users will be required to wear a face covering.
We know that navigating through the pandemic and out of lockdown takes a lot of adjusting and will, understandably, have an impact on the mental health and wellbeing of many people. We want to reassure residents that they are not alone and there is help and support available.
Thrive LDN (external link), a citywide movement to improve the mental health and wellbeing of all Londoners, has numerous resources and toolkits available to support those who may be feeling anxious about coronavirus and how it may affect them during this time.
Locally, the council also has many services and resources available to help residents to stay positive and support them with their mental health and wellbeing.
