Haringey coronavirus (COVID-19) updates
Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, Haringey, like all councils, has had to continue to bill and collect the income that it is due to receive.
This must be done in order to fulfil the council’s statutory obligations and, most importantly, provide the funding for the crucial services that it delivers and that Haringey residents rely upon, both during this crisis and normal times.
Of course, these are not normal times and since April we have adjusted our approach to take into account special circumstances, while still being clear where debts are owed to the council.
In line with government guidance, we have resumed our normal procedures. These will be applied ethically and responsibly and we will continue to recognise the specific circumstances of individuals, families, businesses and other organisations.
We would continue to advise Haringey residents to liaise with us in order to help manage their payment of any debts – engagement is an important part of our relationship with our residents and businesses.

Members of the Haringey community are uniting to urge fellow residents to wear a mask and do the right thing to keep each other safe as the Covid-19 pandemic continues.
Coronavirus usually spreads by droplets through the air from coughs, sneezes and speaking. Scientific evidence shows that when used correctly, wearing a face covering may reduce the spread of coronavirus droplets.
Launched by Haringey Council, the #wearamask campaign video features messages from David Lammy MP, Catherine West MP, the Leader of the Council, Metropolitan Police and local organisations including, Jacksons Lane, Fashion Enter, Wise Thoughts, Turkish Cypriot Women’s Project, Public Voice and 306 Collective.
